Norbert Leonard

A litigation attorney with more than 25 years of experience, Norbert Leonard serves as partner and President of Leonard & Kruse, P.C. in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He also gained experience with the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, working on the company's General Motors Group account while attending law school in Detroit. Over his career as an attorney, Norbert Leonard has litigated extensively while representing both employers and employees in cases pertaining to wrongful discharge, employment discrimination, the Whistleblowers' Protection Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other workers' and civil rights legislation. Norbert Leonard has also litigated complex product liability cases in both State and Federal Court.

Complementing his litigation experience, Norbert Leonard has arbitrated a wide range employment matters including, but not limited to, discrimination disputes, collective bargaining agreement disputes, and contract interpretation disputes. He earned his juris doctor from Wayne State University Law School, graduating cum laude in 1986. Previously, he received his bachelor of arts in English from Oakland University. He underwent alternative dispute resolution training through the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and is an Arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association, on the employment panel of Arbitrators. Norbert Leonard also sits as a Hearing Panelist for the Attorney Discipline Board in Michigan.
