Nordia D. M. Thomas

La Crosse, WI

I work at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse as an Assistant Professor of Finance. I generally teach investment and portfolio management courses.

My research interests are market microstructure (mostly transaction taxes), asset pricing and energy. Plus I am renewing my interest in alternative investments especially commodities and private equity.

I have a PhD in Business Statistics, a MSc in Financial Mathematics and a BSc in Mathematics. At the moment, I am recovering from the PhD years before considering anything else.

When I’m not working I like to collect art, travel and watch crime dramas (U.S., British, Danish, Korean, Japanese, you name it).
