As crazy, and even unlikely as it may seem, my art is God's idea. The most important thing anyone should know about me is that I live for Christ. I want my life and everything I do to reflect God's image who, even though he has it all, came down to rescue me. It's the least I can do. You might ask how I came to this conclusion and the answer is quite simple. I am a human being; just like you. I have struggles and weakneses; just like you. I didn't know what to do with my life. In fact, I almost discarded it completely. However, for some reason I still can't quite understand, God found me. So, I told him my life was his and I asked, "What do you want me to do?" The answer didn't come with a thundering voice that shook the ground, nor was it delivered by angels. Instead, the answer came in a soft, but firm voice that said, "Portraits." So, I said okay and started working.
Life distractions derailed me for a while and it wasn't until March 2010 that God called me again regarding this matter. Events in my life caused me to ask God once more, "What do you want me to do with my life?" This time I understood the answer to be "Art". Again, I said okay and started working once more. I didn't really understand why God wanted me to create art. How could that make a difference in anyone's life? It seemed a bit silly to me. So, I started doubting and asking God if he was sure about this. I asked Him to confirm this calling. As you might have guessed, he did. I started learning more about what God required of me, and I learned I wasn't the only one doing this. God has used art since the days of the Exodus, and this was a gift from Him. So, as you look up my website, I hope you can find a glimpse of hope, restoration and purpose, because it's all for the love of God and art.
