Norman Badger has dedicated more than thirty years to a career with Publix, the employee-owned grocery chain in the United States. His path through the company reflects hard work, discipline, and a steady approach to leadership. From his early days in entry-level positions to his current role as Senior Vice President of Retail Operations, he has consistently taken on new responsibilities that have helped him grow as a leader and contribute to the organization's success.

Publix operates more than 1,400 stores across eight southeastern states, with the largest concentration in Florida, as well as locations in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. He began his career in 1995 as a front-service clerk in Aiken, South Carolina, and over the years gained experience in a variety of roles. In 2007, he became a store manager, responsible for budgets, staffing, customer service, and overall store operations. In 2014, he was promoted to District Manager, where he oversaw several stores and collaborated closely with managers to ensure service standards and financial performance were maintained. By 2017, he advanced to Regional Director, with responsibilities covering multiple districts. His work focused on planning, operational alignment, and developing future leaders.

In 2020, Norman Badger, Publix, took on the role of Vice President of Product Business Development for the Bakery and Meat departments. His responsibilities included expanding product categories, managing supplier relationships, negotiating agreements, and improving merchandising and supply chain performance. He focused on aligning product strategies with customer expectations and broader business goals. In 2024, he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Retail Operations, where he now oversees all store-level operations across the company’s footprint. He leads regional and store teams, ensuring operational consistency, and contributes to long-term growth and planning initiatives. He values the people he works with and is thankful for the opportunities the company has given him throughout his career.

He was born in Jacksonville, FL, and married his high school sweetheart in 2001. They have one son and have lived in several cities, including Atlanta, Charleston, and Raleigh, before returning to Florida. Family is important to him, and they enjoy traveling together and creating shared memories.
