One of the things that moves me the most is my career... literally. You see, I work in the logistics industry as a correspondent for Transport Exchange Group (TEG). My company is comprised of two fantastic networking groups for couriers – Courier Exchange (CX) – and hauliers – Haulage Exchange (HX) – that I’m proud to say are the best in the business.
CX is the world’s largest neutral hub for same day courier work in the freight exchange industry. On the other hand, HX is the leading online trade network for the road transport business; we provide a logistic service for matching delivery work with available vehicles. Over 5,400 companies are networked together through our websites, trading courier jobs, owner driver jobs and capacity in a safe ‘wholesale’ environment.
We pride ourselves on our fantastic work getting professionals in touch with each other all across the UK and Europe. We lower the number of empty vehicles on the road, which saves our clients money while reducing their carbon footprints on the environment. In short, everyone is seeing a lot more green.
I love everything about my job. I love the satisfaction of knowing I’m a part of a delivery getting to its destination quickly and efficiently, whether it’s a toy to a child a mile away or a shipment of balloons to a hospital halfway across the country. I love befriending the couriers and hauliers and hearing about their experiences and challenges. I love the connection – through words, through products and through people.
I’m driven by helping others and I’m driven by shortening the distance between point A and point B. I’m driven by TEG.
