Norman Heslop

Hailing from Acworth, Georgia, Norman Heslop holds a diverse range of interests, including modern and future technology, a variety of team and individual sports, and several branches of science. He has a great concern for the state of our world moving into the future. Norman Heslop not only likes to watch sports, but to get into the details. He considers concepts such as what makes a particular player good and what kind of technology is going into the sport. His favorite sports include Ping-Pong, tennis, golf, soccer, and auto racing. In addition to watching sports, Norman Heslop enjoys learning about the universe around him. Geology and volcanology are of great interest to him, and he has a strong liking for astronomy, the study of celestial objects. Norman Heslop is intrigued by the way that comets and asteroids capture people’s imaginations and inspire the creation of movies and documentaries. On the more serious side, Norman Heslop has great concern for the direction in which our world is headed. He worries about the effects of climate change and global warming on delicate ecosystems around the world and considers conservation of endangered species a high priority for mankind. He also worries about energy use and finds renewable energy an important topic for discussion. In addition, Norman Heslop appreciates the art of how things are made, from the science behind a modern high-rise to the building and repair of items using simple tools. He knows a good bit about photography and moviemaking, as well. In his spare time, Heslop supports several charities, especially his favorite, The Salvation Army.
