I'm a self-taught programmer, currently working as a solo Unity developer and occasional freelance programmer, often related to graphics (custom shaders, particle effects, etc.) or procedural content generation (mesh/audio generation, noise analysis for believable biome/object distribution, etc.), though I've also written several player control systems for clients, and smaller-scale AI for arcade games.

I was the former Lead Graphics/Audio Programmer for Crytivo Games on the game The Universim. The embedded video is of the demo that I was personally responsible for, taking the player on a narrated fly through of a procedurally generated planet before giving the player control to explore freely.

The demo is not my work alone, as it's basically the game up to that date with the actual gameplay stripped out, but it showcases nearly everything I did while at Crytivo Games. The procedural terrain was almost all me, from the runtime mesh generation to the custom shader. The atmosphere, which fades in from stars on a neutral color to either day/starry night when you zoom in down to the surface, complete with sunsets and sunrises, is one of my proudest achievements to date. All audio implementation was by me as well, both in game and the narration. And as tricky as cinematically showing off a planet you know nothing about was, I spent quite a bit more time getting the player controls for the second half/actual game to work nicely.

All in all, I'm very proud of how it turned out, and all the work we did to have a game worth making a demo for. If you're looking for someone to make things look/sound pretty, and occasionally do some more useful things, I'd love to hear from you!
