Hello! I'm Sam. A Photo Editor at Food & Wine Magazine by day and a novice home chef by night. When I first moved to New York, I lived in many tiny apartments with no kitchen space. I stopped cooking and started ordering delivery (like a real New Yorker). Until one day my life changed. I met a friend for a late brunch at Buvette - which is always crowded- we sat at the bar and ordered our brunch mimosas. As we were waiting for our drinks, I noticed a petite woman standing in the front of the bar working the waffle maker and egg stand. It was then that I realized she was making the entire menu in just 2 feet of space. My mind was blown. After leaving, I told myself I'd dedicate some of my spare time to getting into something I love --- food! And thus, North Dixie Kitchen was born.
