Pink Diesel

the musicality of dance between the lines of culture, media and genre is where I play. Making movement that is natural as snezing and as forced as a dagger to the heart, sprinkled with hundreds and thousands of pieces of my character to complete new forms of existence.

I was taught to move by stylistic characteristics per genre and narrative, but why be very good at one thing? Moulding feelings of the deep cavities in your chest or at the forefront of the mind are unique feelings of gold dust which we often try to surpress. That seems like a redundant exercise, to hold things back but to force our bodies to move anyway. It makes dance an empty shell of correctness. As does sexualising dance genres that are notn intended to be, this makes dance inappropriate, a desperate grasping of straws to have choreography noticed.

My catalogue of dance knowledge, influential choreographers and dancers, ability to connect cultural and social aspects and engrained love of music gives an unusual fuel to my existence. I want my life to moonlight my actual purpose in this decrepid world, in all creative ways possible.
