Nouha Belaid
Consultant, Communication Advisor, and Training in United Arab Emirates
Since 2008, I have worked across more than 30 countries, partnering with global organisations and governmental institutions as a seasoned consultant and trainer in media and communication. My expertise has supported both non-profit and for-profit entities, including the European Union, African Union, UNDP, WHO, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, AstraZeneca, Merck & Co., the World Obesity Federation, and numerous ministries across the Middle East and Africa. I possess a nuanced understanding of regional media landscapes, have placed Op-Eds, and pitched impactful success stories. I’ve frequently been dubbed the “queen of pitching”.
I’ve contributed to capacity-building efforts through collaboration with training institutions, including Deutsche Welle Akademie (Germany), Internews (USA), Thomson Reuters Foundation (UK), CFI (France), and ASBU Academy (MENA).
I currently serve as a PR and Communications Advisor, where I lead strategic media relations, brand positioning, and public engagement initiatives. My primary focus is on empowering Emirati entrepreneurs to scale their businesses both locally in Abu Dhabi and internationally. My responsibilities include overseeing the internal and external communication, developing targeted media campaigns, drafting high-impact speeches, and providing counsel to senior leadership teams. I also cultivate high-impact relationships with journalists, influencers, and strategic partners to maximise visibility and enhance credibility across key markets. In September 2025, I had the privilege of being part of the team driving the initiative announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, 'The UAE: The Startup Capital of the World 2030'.
I’ve lectured at the university level for over a decade. My qualifications include a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Sciences (2018) and a Master’s in Public Law and Good Governance (2021). A firm believer in interdisciplinary expertise, I’ve also undertaken advanced training in economic diplomacy and lobbying, strengthening my grasp of global geopolitical dynamics. Between 2018 and 2022, I was honoured to serve as Director of Studies at a Communication University in Tunisia affiliated with a British/African educational network.
In 2021, I launched a media platform in Tunisia, marking a milestone that reflects my entrepreneurial drive and passion for fostering informed public discourse in Africa. I remain committed to advancing innovative and impactful communications across the MEA region and globally.
