NANCY SEDDON
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States
The first thing I’d like you to know about me is that I just retired after having spent 25 years in public education! I began working as a special education teacher, in 1988, in a NJ middle school, and then I transitioned into teaching Language Arts Literacy to 8th graders. After nine years as a teacher, I was blessed to become an assistant principal that worked in two different middle schools. Later, I had the privilege of being a principal of both a middle school, and later, an elementary school. My career continued in central administration as the Director of Special Education in the largest K-8 school district in NJ for five years, and I spent my last five years in the position of Director of Curriculum and Instruction for a K-12 school district. I’m so grateful for the myriad of experiences I had with students, parents, peers and each school community. As a retiree, I now have a practice as a Life Coach, which is a lifelong dream of mine! I love to help others achieve their goals, and I cannot wait to work with you so you can reach your highest potential.
As far as my education, I have a B.A. in Special Education, with certifications in reading, elementary, and K-12 special education. I spent nine years teaching and then received my Master’s in Educational Leadership. In 1997, I became an administrator and spent the next 16 years of my career in that capacity. Now, as of 12/12/13, I am an iPEC certified Life Coach and Energy Leadership Index Master Practicioner. I have always loved working with people, and I believe my gift in life is to guide and help others to be all they can be. My expertise is in working with ALL people, and my 25 years of educational experiences, coupled with my year-long Life Coach training has prepared me to be the very best possible facilitator of your fulfillment!
On a personal level, my wonderful husband and I have been married since 2005, and we are blessed with two sons each from previous marriages. These four FABULOUS sons are independent, responsible adults. Three of them have incredible spouses, two now have children, which delights Tom and I, and one remains single and focused on his career. We are indeed grateful for our family!
Finally, I’d like you to know that, upon retirement from the world of education, my husband and I decided to be Snow Birds, living in North Wildwood, NJ for spring and summer and in Ft. Lauderdale, FL for the fall and winter. What a gr
