Nick Stringer
Public Policy, Technology, and Regulatory Affairs in the United Kingdom
Hey, I’m Nick.
I am a seasoned public policy and communications expert with a dynamic 30-year track record gained with a leading mobile and broadband provider, specialised consultancies, and influential trade bodies globally. I'm also a strategic powerhouse adept at fostering key industry relationships, armed with an in-depth knowledge of the digital media, advertising, and technology sectors. I am currently CEO of Flux Digital Policy, a strategic technology advisory, public policy, and public affairs consultancy; Managing Director of Mobile Games Intelligence (MGI); and interim CEO of the International Social Games Association (ISGA).
As ex-VP of Global Engagement & Operations at the Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG) - a cross-industry self-regulatory powerhouse setting standards to tackle criminal activity like fraud, piracy, and malware in digital advertising - I led the driving of global development, while championing brand safety in digital advertising. I am also former Director of Regulatory Affairs at the Internet Advertising Bureau UK (IAB UK).
I have travelled to all corners of the world, cultivating strategic partnerships and evangelising the need for brand safety and global self-regulation. I also write about tech policy issues and how we might resolve them - see ‘ByteWise Insights’.
On a personal level, I am a fan of technology, running, and (real) football (avid Liverpool FC supporter! #YNWA). I am also interested in politics and music. I live in Kent (the 'Garden of England') in the UK with my family.
"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
