Nancy Tilton

I am a follower of dreams, a doer, an eternal optimist and believer of the good in humanity. I am passionate about making the change I want to see in the world. After working in public and private schools for six years, I decided to stop feeling helpless over changing what I saw happening to children and do something about it. I founded ALC Mosaic and it's the school of my dreams.

Our school community in Charlotte, NC has partnered with the Agile Learning Center in NYC to create a network of schools that serve as an open source model for others to follow. We collectively run a summer program for adults called the Agile Learning Facilitator (ALF) Intensive Program that works with individuals who want to start their own schools/learning centers, work in one, or are curious about how to update our current education system to be relevant to the 21st century. We hope to inspire parents and educators to work towards what they want rather than feel discouraged about what exists.
