Nur Muqti

Nur Aini Muqti is a junior accounting major at the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. She expects to graduate in May 2016. Prior to attending Texas Tech University, she went to Lone Star Community College in Houston, Texas and earned an Associate of Arts.

Nur was a recipient of Sampoerna Scholarship when she was in high school for a full three years. Currently, she received Texas Tech University Proven Achievers Scholarship for Fall 2014 and Spring 2015. Nur is a hardworking person and loves learning something new. She is an open-minded person who loves seeing from others perspective and generates every possible alternatives to find the best way to solve problems. One of Nur’s objectives in life is being a good person and a good accountant at the same time. She learned that being an accountant does not only require accounting skills, but also morals and ethics. In life, Nur values honesty and transparency, so she will stand against anything that may hurt these values.
