Hello, Welcome to my page!
I am 21 years old. I am a professional musician, a tradesman, and a student at GRCC (Grand Rapids Community College). I've been working and studying since I graduated in 2011 from Grand Rapids Montessori High School.
After long thought and exploring what exactly I would be for the rest of my life, I chose to be a professional musician. It's an incredibly fun and beneficial way to make connections, set yourself amongst like-minded individuals, and enjoy performing with other incredible musicians! I practice for 1-2hrs on a daily basis. I have played and performed with world renowned musicians and conductors, studied and have continued to study music as a student, and one day I will play and perform with my own self-made instruments.
Here's a list of the instrumentalists and groups I have been affiliated with:
- Quatenus Strings (lead by Brysien Beer) (2009-current)
- St. Cecilia's Philharmonic (2008-2011) (Conducted by Dan Scott - Awarded Director of The Year in Jenison, MI Public Schools)
- GRCC Orchestra (2011-2013) (Conducted by Libor Odras - World renowned violist and composer)
- KPO (2011-2013) (Kent Philharmonic and Orchestra) (aslo Coducted by Libor Odras)
My prefered instrumentation, which I've debated for years, is with the bass guitar. I play the upright bass also. During my practice time, I incorporate both instruments in my daily rudaments so that I have a well rounded and consistent sound. It's a daily battle, but it has alway proven useful in a performance setting.
As a tradesman I have become familiar, practiced, or associated with companies and individuals such as:
- Electrical Assistance - EMC (Electrical Maintenence Corporation) (Owned by William Ruso, family friend and Contracted Master Electrician)
- Home Theater and Installation Assistance - Walter G. Tett, who is also my father and husband to my mother Cynthia D. Tett
- Carpentry - Self studied and applied
- Roofing and Siding Assistance - Chris Francis of Gutter Pro Seamless Gutters
- Tim Vander
