A graduate in Translation and Interpreting (University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia, 2005), Núria Camps received the First Prize in the Translation and Interpreting End of Studies Award - Ministry of Education and Science, Spain, 2005 [Primer Premio Nacional de Fin de Carrera] and the Extraordinary End of Studies Award (UVic-UCC, 2005). Since 2005, she has been a lecturer at the UVic-UCC. She read her doctorate research paper in 2007 and was also awarded a University Lecturer Training Scholarship (FPU2008) from the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. She got her PhD from the UVic-UCC in 2013, with a dissertation on the literary reception of Jacint Verdaguer's French translation (the most outstanding Catalan writer of the Romantic period) (Cum Laude). She is currently a member of the research group: Contemporary literary texts: study, edition and translation (UVic-UCC). Her research has been published in many international magazines and books and she has participated in international Conferences (University of Oxford, Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3, Universita' degli studi di Verona, etc.) and she has also been part of a number of research projects. She is a freelance translator as well as a sworn translator and interpreter entitled by the Catalan Government [Generalitat de Catalunya] (English < > Catalan and Spanish < > Catalan).​
