A graduate in Translation and Interpreting (University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia, 2005), Núria Camps received the First Prize in the Translation and Interpreting End of Studies Award - Ministry of Education and Science, Spain, 2005 [Primer Premio Nacional de Fin de Carrera] and the Extraordinary End of Studies Award (UVic-UCC, 2005). Since 2005, she has been a lecturer at the UVic-UCC. She read her doctorate research paper in 2007 and was also awarded a University Lecturer Training Scholarship (FPU2008) from the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. She got her PhD from the UVic-UCC in 2013, with a dissertation on the literary reception of Jacint Verdaguer's French translations (the most outstanding Catalan writer of the Romantic period) (Cum Laude). She is currently a member of the research group: GLOSSA (UVic-UCC). Her research has been published in many international magazines and books and she has participated in national and international Conferences (University of Oxford, Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3, Universita' degli studi di Verona, etc.). She has also been part of a number of research projects. She is a freelance translator as well as a sworn translator and interpreter entitled by the Catalan Government [Generalitat de Catalunya] (English < > Catalan and Spanish < > Catalan).​
