Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), being one of the largest networks of educational institutions, established on 26th September 1992 under Pune University, headed by Dr. Maj. (Mrs.) Tapti Bhattacharjee. College of Nursing became a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) in 1996.

It is the first private college to provide various academic offerings in Nursing from GNM to Ph.D. The college and its degrees have approval and recognition of the Indian Nursing Council, as well as the Maharashtra Nursing Council.
