Classical Violinist, Nusheen Farahani, is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. While pursuing her studies, Nusheen performed as a substitute violinist with the South Carolina Philharmonic, Symphony Orchestra Augusta, the Aiken Symphony, the Brevard Philharmonic, Long Bay Symphony, and the Spartanburg Philharmonic.

Nusheen was chosen to perform and teach in the Bahamas for outreach concerts as a member of the distinguished Resonance String Quartet in November 2015. She has also attended summer programs abroad in Italy, Luxembourg, and Germany to further her chamber music skills.

She has come to the Celtic style more recently, but has mastered the style very well, also studying with Alistair Fraser and Natalie Haas at the Isle of Skye Fiddle Camp in Scotland in the Summer of 2015. Soon after the camp Nusheen won second place in the Scottish Fiddling Competition at the Charleston Scottish Games and Highland Gathering in the Fall of 2015.

She has incredible enthusiasm and is great with students, and will be an energetic co-director of a Scottish Fiddle Summer Camp with Seán Heely, which will have its debut in the Summer of 2016: One in Columbia, SC and one in Sterling, Virginia. Please email for more information.
