One of the essential fatty acids that we need to consume is the omega – 3. These are three types of fats that we need to consume, and two of them are found is some fish species while the other one in plants. The three in their name denotes their number. These acids are DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), and EPA (eicosapentaenoic). DHA and EPA are found in marine animals while ALA is found in plant species. Due to the rare source, most of the population can only have access to them as a supplement. These concentrated doses of the product are aimed at delivering the same effect as the real food would.
There are several benefits that are derived from the consumption of omega – 3 supplements. These benefits are vital to a healthy body and especially the development of muscles and bones.
