My name is Nicole Vargas, and I am a professor of digital journalism in the Film, Journalism and Media Production program at San Diego City College.

As a professional journalist, I specialized in multimedia production for a major daily newspaper. I now apply those skills in the classroom, teaching in the FJMP program and advising the award-winning City Times Media news organization, which brings together digital news, TV news, magazine, radio/podcast and independent film.
