Nikhil Venkumahanti

Hi, my name is Nikhil Venkumahanti! I am a senior at Huntington Beach High School in Huntington Beach, California. My interests are playing soccer and basketball, studying, listening to music, and enjoying my leisure time with my friends and family. Furthermore, I am funny, hardworking, helpful, and a team person overall because I learn from my mistakes, accept criticism, and lastly will attempt to include everyone within a group. Additionally, I would like to earn my Bachelor’s degree at UC Riverside or Cal State Long Beach, and afterward, attend medical school to earn my Doctorate Degree. Throughout COVID-19, I struggled to focus online because of all the distractions and issues that were occurring throughout my personal life. When students came back in person to attend school, it made me nervous because the person throughout my Sophomore year was not who the real me was. A great deal of hard work and determination is what made me pass my Junior but not at the level that I knew I was capable of reaching. Throughout the pandemic, I learned an abundance of life lessons that still carry on to this day, and the first one that I learned was that mistakes can cost you a career that you looked forward to. The pandemic made me a stronger person and it showed me that my dream can come true with hard work.
