Engine oil for motors is used for the lubrication, cooling, and cleaning of internal combustion engines.

Engine oil is categorized in a numerical code system by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) according to viscosity characteristics. SAE grades engine oil from low to high viscosity: 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50 or 60.

Engine oil is also classified into several classes according to many international organizations. These organizations include American Petroleum Institute (API), International Lubricant Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC), Association des Constructeurs Européens d'Automobiles (ACEA), Japanese Automotive Standards Organization (JASO), and European original equipment manufacturer (OEM).

Many PTT lubricating oil products are currently available in the market. These products include lubricants oil for gasoline engines, motorcycles, light duty and heavy duty diesel engines, mobile gas engines, agricultural and multipurpose engines, jet-skis, speed boats, fishery and marine, as well as transmission systems.
