Hi everyone,

I am teacher for the Waterloo Region District School Board. I am getting married to my best friend on November 6th of this year! We have a 15 year old son and he is in grade 10!

I have taught Kindergarten, Grade 2, 3, 5 and have worked with intermediate ELL students. Our board is changing the name to MLL (Multicultural Language Learners) this coming school year. I have also worked as a SERT for a few years. The SERT itinerant and ELL itinerant jobs are my favourite. I worked for the Peel District School Board for 8 1/2 years as contract. Changes in my in life brought me to the Waterloo Region where I sit on the LTO list (number 35) and will be securing contract soon! I have been with the Waterloo Board since 2018. I also have my principal qualifications and am interested in pursuing admin in the future.

This past school year I taught Kindergarten online! Had lots of PD and learned new online platforms to help with digital literacy. I am hoping to learn new programs to help my MLL students in the fall.

On the side, I also have a small business as I am a Reiki Master and Certified Life Coach and I teach Reiki to adult students. I also perform Reiki sessions for clients.

I am a teacher, mother, and small business owner currently living in Kitchener, Ontario. My interests range from education to piyo. I am also interested in baking, swimming, and dogs. I have a 6 year old dog named Lexi. She is half shar-pei and pug mix.

I look forward to engaging in this course and learning from others and gaining more resources and knowledge for ELL/MLL students!
