To those of you reading this, welcome! I’m Nick Wooten, a Journalism and Southern Studies double major at Mercer University. I was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia. At a very young age, I fell in love with the region I called home. Mountain Dew was a staple in our home, Lynyrd Skynyrd poured through the car stereo, and every Sunday (from February to November) was NASCAR Sunday. I love writing and reading. My favorite author is Ernest Hemingway. I can eat like a man twice my size and I'm not afraid to say things others won't. That being said, I generally avoid confrontation. I'm currently a staff writer and soon to be Managing Editor for The Mercer Cluster. This blog is a space for me to work professionally and creatively beyond the bylines. Sit back and enjoy.
