VISUAL ARTIST

I'm a visual artist living and working in the Arizona desert. I've been making and hiding art around the world for the better part of my life. If you're interested in participating in one of my art hunts, you should follow me in Instagram and watch my stories for clues. There might be one hidden in your city right now.

I make paintings and put them in art shows because I don't know what else to do with them. I also make show posters for bands who need them and post them around town. When I need to make a new one, I open up my sketchbook and draw until an image appears. My posters are drawn and lettered by hand on paper and fed directly into the copy machine. I do it this way because that's how I've done it since I was a teenager in the eighties. I believe strongly in the power of ink, paper and reprographics. Why scan when you can copy?

I have a zine that I put out once or twice a year through Fluke Publishing. You can buy one by going to their website, or by walking into one of the independent bookstores across the United States that sells it. I believe we're in all fifty states and a handful of stores across Europe.

My free time is spent looking for rocks in the desert, monitoring radio frequencies for unusual activity and playing the flute or clarinet. My favorite bands are Current 93, Coil, Psychic TV and Skinny Puppy. I have a dog and several cats.
