Mission statement
The Better Life for Our People http://nyblpchapter.org is committed to the promotion of the living standards of the working classes and hold firm to the belief that the dignity and freedom of the individual are basic rights that must be maintained and extended and that at the heart of these rights are the right to food, clothing and education.

The Better Life for Our People (BLP) is committed to the promotion of racial harmony and the elimination of discrimination in any form or fashion.

The BLP will continue to share in the struggle for peace, progress and prosperity for all Barbadians living in the United States of America.

The BLP will participate meaningfully and effectively in the deliberation and activities of all Diaspora.

We will also affiliate with any organization with similar aims for the purpose of promoting cooperation among all people.
