Safiya Whitehead

Safiya is known best for two things creating memories and capturing them. Her interpersonal skills along with an artistic eyes has led her to act, sing, dance, photograph, and speak publicy. Safiya Whitehead was born in Cold Springs, New York on February 5th, 1986. She was raised in Saint Albans, New York in a afrocentric and civicly active community.

She is currently a New Media Journalism graduate student at Full Sail University. Through this program she hopes to bring light to civic issues such as illiteracy, bullying, carrer exploration, and family development. She knows that in many cases journalism can issue information and answers to people looking for soulutions. As she builds her spirtual faith, she is also builds her strength in community, culture, femininsm, and self autonomy.
