Mountainburg, Arkansas
Hi! I’m currently living in Mountainburg, Arkansas. I just moved here from Texas where I worked as an LPAC Facilitator at Winfree Academy in North Richland Hills, Denton and Grand Prairie. Now I work as a special education teacher with Fort Smith. When I’m not working I like to visit new places, teach reading, visit friends and family.
I've seen many of my students blossom like roses. Teachers are able to provide the sunshine and water needed. Sometimes learning to read is like a scary visit to the dentist. One feels tempted not to attempt for fear. My communication with parents and students help diminish the fear factor so that true learning can take place.
I was born in Canada. I met my husband while he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was TDY (temporary duty on an exercise mission called reforger) in Goose Bay, Labrador. We've been stationed in Charleston, S.C., Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal, Blytheville, AR, Battle Creek, MI. We moved to Texas in 1998 first living in Trinidad, then Crandall, Keller and now Mountainburg.
