Regina "Califa'' Calloway, a powerhouse Interdisciplinary Artist, boasts a dynamic career spanning three decades. Recognized as aDancetransformNATION Agent and a coveted Cultural Arts Producer, she passionately preserves, celebrates, and propels African Ancestored Cultural legacies.

As a leader, Regina Calloway has left an indelible mark as a member of prominent Diaspora Dance Cultural organizations in the Bay Area, California, including Crossroads Dance Collective, Emesè: Messengers of the African Diaspora, Diata Diata, Loco Bloco, Belleza Bateria, and Co-Founder of Boomshake's Global Street Drum for Women of Color.

It was a transformative experience in Salvador da Bahia, Brasil, during Carnaval 1994 that served as a catalyst through participation in leading Bloco Afros,Ilê Aiyê, and Olodum. She translated this encounter into a blueprint for Community Arts Developmentacross the Bay Area, California.

With over three decades of Performance Arts training, Ms. Calloway’s skills intersect as a Creative, Technician and Producer partnered with premier African Dance Companies, Fua Dia CongoandCeedo Senegalese Dance Company. She held foundational memberships with acclaimed Diaspora companies, including DeRompe y Raja Afro PeruvianandObakoso Afro Cuban. In her role as aCultural Caretaker, she has served in Presenter/Producer roles for Aji-tos Arts & Culture Nigerian Artists of Oṣogbo & Oyo State Nigeria [2004] and Diaspora Instructor at Lahydi African Dance Festival[2007, 2008]. Notable productions include Malaki Matanga Congolese Repertoire Concert, 2010 (Producing Partner), “Night of Tribute'' SF Mainstage, 2015 (Executive Producer), and Malongafest & Malonga Music Listening Party, 2021 (Presenting Partner).

A dedicated Family Historian since 1993, Ms. Calloway is actively involved with kinship societies: Inaugural Class of the Midwestern African American Genealogy Institute, where she received an Afrigeneas.com Scholarship and is affiliated with the African American Genealogical Society of Northern California andAAHGS Metro Atlanta Chapter. She actively shares her knowledge and expertise through Independent research, Panelist roles, and Curatorial Community Arts Installations.

Founder and Creative Director of nzoCALIFA Presents, LLC, she leads a dynamic Business Cultural Arts Consultancy, extending her influence through Board Service, Advisory, and Strategic partnering.
