Regina "Califa" Calloway is a Cultural Curator, Pro.Genealogist, and Founder of nzoCALIFAncestry™ Genealogy Kinship Services. A Family Historian since 1993, she was an inaugural member of the Midwest African American Genealogy Institute and the first recipient of the AfriGeneas Scholarship in 2013, catalyzing her service to Ancestral Recovery.

Her field research captures oral narratives within African Dance-Drum communities nationwide, fueled by 50+ Communal Kinship workshops across Northern California, Arkansas, Northern Louisiana, and Georgia, including Winston-Salem's National Black Theatre Festival.

As a steward of heritage, Ms. Calloway co-architected and keynoted Sacramento's inaugural Genealogy & Ancestral Healing Retreat with A Church for All, an inclusive faith-based organization. At the University of the Pacific, she authored and submitted the strategic proposal launching their inaugural Heritage event, presenting "Honoring Ancestral Heritage: A Communal Kinship Experience," partnered with Dr. Traveon Jefferson, Program Specialist, at the Center for Identity and Inclusion.

A visionary Woman of Faith, she advances global African Diaspora missions that strengthen kinship and unite families through Ancestral wisdom. Bearing witness through testimonies gathered in the field, she extends this restorative charge globally.

Restoring names, lineages, and historical agency through decolonial Genealogical methodologies that confront archival erasure and reconnect communities with histories fragmented by colonization — in step with UNESCO's charge to safeguard living heritage.

Through nzoCALIFA Presents LLC, she advances Family Repositories and Narrative Sovereignty through technologies shaping how histories are preserved and transmitted. As a cultural innovator, nzoCALIFAncestry™ contributes to the sustainability and agency of Afrofutures.
