"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart" Jeremiah 1:5a

Papa whispered a secret of healing within me that has taken root and has blossomed the desire to be a vessel for Him. Remaining true to the "old ways" of healing, seeking the knowledge and wisdom that has been past down from generation to generation of healers and midwives alike ~ Oak Moon Rising grew out of that passion and my love of Folk Herbalism ignited.

My studies began in the fall of 2012 when I enrolled as a student at Sage Mountain in East Barre, Vermont. I am currently pursuing my certification in the Art & Science of Herbology and am on track to graduate early 2015.

In the Spring of 2013, I aquired my certification as an Integrative Reflexology Practitioner through Abbott Northwest. My focus is in helping ladies who are suffering with infertility issues, as well as, pre & post natal relaxation sessions.

In November 2013, I began my study as an Independent Encapsulation Specialist (IES) through Full Circle Placenta, but due to a small hiccup I was unable to secure certification. I recognized my passion for postpartum support and so in October 2014 my studies as a 'Mother Roaster' began through Sacred Pregnancy. My certification as a Mother Roaster, combined with my experience as an IES, is a lovely & beautiful work.

Getting a little personal :: I live in South Central Pennsylvania with my husband of 10 years. We have struggled with infertility since our honeymoon but we know that God is ever faithful in our desire and we remain full of hope. My struggle has fueled a desire to reach out and serve those around me who are also holding onto the same dream of motherhood.

In June 2013, we found ourselves answering the call to the mission field and left our cozy little home for 10 days to touch the lives of little ones in Yamaranguilla, Honduras. It was love at first sight! 6 months later we returned and another trip is planned for November 2014. After our November trip, our hearts will remain open to where ever it is that Papa leads us.

I am an advocate for sustainable living and an active supporter of local organic farmers.
