Obakeng is a graduate of the African Leadership Academy, Class of 2018. He was a summer scholar at the Wharton Business School at UPenn. As well as Oprah Winfrey Summer Scholar at Andrew Young Global Leadership Centre at Morehouse College. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Social Science (BSoc.Sci) in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at the University of Witswaterand, Class of 2022.
He has experience working in the United States (US), Kenya, South Africa, and soon the United Kingdom (UK). His growing expertise is in management strategy, program development, fundraising as well as multi-stakeholder partnerships. Passionate about education and youth development, he spends his time as a Global Ambassador for TheirWorld, the world's largest charity organization advancing children's education, and serves on the Advisory Board for Blackboard.
Obakeng has been recognized by FastCompany as a Young Leader to Watch in 2018. Apolitical Academy selected him as the youngest inaugural Public Service Fellow in Southern Africa for 2018/2019. Obakeng wants to break down barriers and build bridges for young people to access educational and vocational opportunities.
