I'm passionate about the entire process of taking a concept from inception to physical manifestation. Being involved with this process allows me to collaborate and work with world class architects, designers and makers.

I'm am currently a Project Designer at Perkins & Will.

Prior to that I was a Project Manager and Designer at Sagan Piechota Architecture (where we are created one of the greenest wineries in the world https://silveroak.com/about/sustainability/). At that time I was also a Design Principal at Pacassa Studio (a collaborative design-build studio producing distinctive, custom furniture, architectural details and interiors) and Adjunct Professor at California College of the Arts where I teach in the Architecture and Furniture departments.

At the beginning of my career I was a senior designer at Sand Studios, a multidisciplinary design-build firm with a primary focus on metal fabrication. While working at Sand Studios, several of my projects received awards (two AIA awards; SF Chapter, Excellence in Interior Architecture Honor Award & Excellence in Design Merit Award) and were published: (7x7 Magazine, Architectural Record and Interior Design).

I honed my drafting ability drawing residential construction sets by hand at a small architecture firm based in Kamakura, Japan. In Japan, I was profoundly impacted by the craftsmanship and physical presence of the Shinto shrine and Buddhist temple architecture and was introduced to the ways in which the sacred is articulated in ritual and in form.

I've also studied sculpture and glass blowing at CCA(C). During that time, I participated in an artist in residence program in Tallinn, Estonia and worked as an apprentice with a glass artist in Germany both experiences culminated in exhibits of the work I created.
