What do you want to be when you "grow up" and why?
My goal has alwasy been to become a lawyer. When I was seven I watched Legally Blonde and from that point forward I really wanted to be just like Elle Woods. Now that I'm older and I know more about the profession, I'm even more interested in following this career path. Someday I'd like this choice to lead me to becoming a Supreme Court Justice.
What is your fondest WSU memory thus far?
My fondest memory from WSU so far has to be attending the baseball games with my best friend! We would show up with our raincoats, blankets, and coffee ready for an exciting afternoon. Since we both played softball when we were younger, going to the baseball games to reminisce has become a bit of a tradition for us.
Where is your favorite place to study?
My favorite place to study is in the lower level of the library. If you enter from the front doors and go down the stairs, there's a room on the left side of the open area. It has big tables to spread study materials out in front of you and plenty of room for your friends to come study with you. I spent many nights there in my first year trying to stay on top of my studies.
What advice do you have for new Cougar parents?
The biggest piece of advice I can offer to new Cougar parents is to keep supporting your student's choice to further their education. I've seen really successful students fail in their studies because their parents were inadvertently making them feel like they should have stayed home with family. Parents are going to miss their students because that's life, but it is SO important to support the decision to attend WSU and let students grow as individuals.
