Pullman, Washington
Originally I am from San Francisco, California, but grew up in a small town outside of Spokane, WA. I am an only child, raised by a single mother. I love WSU! I chose WSU because it has always stood out to me the most. Every time I visited for events or retreats, I knew that this was where I was meant to be. My favorite campus spot is on top of the library. It's absolutely beautiful throughout the seasons and has a great view of campus and the Palouse. My advice for new students is to take advantage of all resources, it will really help you. My advice for new Cougar parents is to be supportive, you're going through this together, this is when they will need you both the most and the least. They will need you to let go, but will still need you to rely on as well. It's all about balance.
Favorites: My favorite movie is a tie between 3 movies: Rent, Big Fish, and Fight Club. My favorite activity is singing and dancing. My favorite food is bacon.
Involvement: I am an active member of The Coalition of Women Students, Black Student Union, V-Day, God's Harmony Gospel Choir, and Revolutionary Minds. I am also a student mentor for Multicultural Student Services for 2014-2015!
