Hi!
My name is Tyler. I come from a family of five with two other younger brothers. In fact, my middle brother is attending WSU this comming fall! When I look back on life before WSU, there is one distinct time that stands out to me. Even though we lost the state championship, my soccer team senior year gave me wonderful memories that I look back on very fondly. I am studying to be a highschool math teacher and considering working through Teach for America. I chose WSU for the sense of community. I felt at home here and knew that I would grow as a person. One place I really like to study and hangout is at Zoe's, a small little underground coffee shop on campus. My first days of classes were, at times, nerveracking. Although, it didn't take long for me to get settled and develop new friends. Every football game seems to be a new and great memory for me. The atmosphere can not be matched and this college town never ceases to amaze me as comes alive for every game.

My advice to new Coug parents is very simple, being supportive in each new decision that your child is making. School can be very stressful because of the amount of life decisions that are made in a relatively short amount of time. You can help each of your new college students if you support them in the right way.
