Officer David Marks

Officer David Marks is a respected presented in the Washington law enforcement community who most recently worked for the City of Langley as chief of police. Creating a new policy manual, Officer David Marks was tasked with running everyday operations, as well as equipment that ranged from patrol cars to armory inventory.
Mr. Marks also held responsibilities as founding member of the Island County Substance Abuse Coalition and worked to make sure that patrol officers were outfitted with Nalaxone for use in cases of heroin ODs. His position also entailed membership in the Island County Sheriff's Office HEAT/SWAT Team and he earned a Mayor’s Excellence Award related to a solved burglary.
Mr. Marks previously spent several years with the Langley Police Department as patrol officer. His law enforcement background extends to a position with the Department of Corrections on McNeil Island and he was effective in enforcing rules and ensuring that facilities were up to required standards. Passionate about fitness, Mr. Marks enjoys activities such as weight lifting and jiu jitsu in his free time.
