Official iPhone Unlock

iPhones have been an exceptionally popular smartphone for many years, but when purchased at a discount in connection to a contract with a wireless network, they have always come with certain restrictions. Specifically, such iPhones are locked, which means they are not permitted to be transferred to a new carrier if a user decides to switch mobile phone networks. This measure has been viewed as restrictive, with many people saying that it stifles competition among wireless carriers. Unlocking an iPhone in the United States became legal in July 2014 with the signing of the Unlocking Consumer Choice and Wireless Competition Act by President Obama, making it law. With the passage of this act comes the right for anyone to unlock an iPhone without having to obtain the express approval of the carrier first. Typically, a shop will unlock an iPhone for a customer, but usually that unlock is temporary. This is because Apple itself stores the status of a particular phone’s lock on their own databases. The phone will often revert back to a locked status if a customer connects to iTunes or conducts an update when iOS is upgraded. The only solution to this problem is to provide Apple with the information that a particular phone has been unlocked. This is done through the telephone network or through companies like Official iPhone Unlock and is the only way to accomplish a true unlock of an iPhone.
