Off The Sidelines
Kirsten Gillibrand is one of only 17 women in the U.S. Senate. In fact, despite making up 51% of the U.S. population, women hold just 17% of all seats in Congress, just 6 governorships and fewer than 25% of all state legislative seats.
But the problem is not just in politics. Women make just 78 cents for every dollar a man makes, only 15 of the CEOs of Fortune 500 companies are women and only 15% of senior management in all industries are women.
That’s why Kirsten created Off The Sidelines, a campaign to urge more women to get involved so that our voices are a part of the debate and we have a seat at the table when decisions are being made that impact every aspect of our lives.
I hope you'll join Kirsten and get off the sidelines today.
