My name is Tshinanga Ofhani Loveness, and I am a third-year Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg, specialising in Life Sciences. I am an aspiring educator who is committed to creating meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love for science. I chose teaching because I believe education has the power to transform lives, empower individuals, and create opportunities for a better future.

My teaching philosophy is centred on creating an inclusive classroom where every learner feels valued and supported and encouraging active, learner-centred learning that develops critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. I believe that every learner can succeed when they are given the opportunity, support, and encouragement to reach their full potential. My goal is to create a classroom where learners feel inspired to ask questions, think critically, and believe in their own abilities.

Beyond teaching, I have a creative side, I enjoy braiding hair and expressing creativity through different hairstyles. I also love cooking and experimenting with new recipes, as it allows me to be creative while bringing people together through food. These interests have strengthened my patience, creativity, attention to detail, and ability to connect with others, qualities that I also bring into the classroom.

Currently, I am completing my third year of study while gaining practical teaching experience through school-based teaching practice. This experience is helping me develop my lesson planning, classroom management, assessment, and communication skills. I am committed to continuous learning and professional growth so that I can make a positive contribution to the education sector. My aspiration is to become a knowledgeable, compassionate, and reflective educator who inspires learners to become confident, curious, and lifelong learners while fostering a genuine appreciation for science and education.
