What’s up, I’m Ohad. I’m an attorney living in Tel Aviv, Israel. I am a fan of innovation, chess and travel. I’m also interested in movies and technology.

Ohad Phillip

I am a partner at Zioni Pillersdorf Phillip, boutique law firm in Tel Aviv (zplaw.co.il).

I was born in the Southern Israeli town of Beersheba, at the edge of the Negev desert.

As part of my military service, served over six years in the Israeli submarine flotilla as a naval officer.

I studied law (LLB) and economics at Tel Aviv University (TAU).

During my time in TAU, along with some close friends, I founded "CPC – Children Playing Chess", a non-profit organization in which underprivileged children can acquire important life skills and have fun while learning the game of chess. We started out as three volunteers with about 20 students. Today, almost 14 years later, we have nearly 1,500 students with well over a hundred volunteers.

After my graduation I completed an internship as an article clerk to his honorable Edmond Levi of the Israeli Supreme Court.

After the internship I've worked as an associate at FBC, one of Israel's leading law firms, where I practiced civil and commercial litigation. In 2012, an opportunity presented itself and I had the privilege to return to serve in Israel's judicial system, as a legal assistant to the honorable Haled Kahbub, in the then recently established economic department of the Tel Aviv District Court. The two and a half years I served in the economic department were particularly fascinating. It was the first department in Israel's judicial system that specialized in hearing Securities and Corporate cases.

In 2014 I joined Shaul Zioni and Eli Pillersdorf at ZP Advocates, where I lead the Hi-tech and commercial department. Our clients come from a variety of fields - SAAS, fintech, technological services and hardware and early stage angel investments.

We at ZP advocates believe that in order to provide the best legal services to our clients, it is essential to thoroughly know our clients' business, the executives, the client's needs and also the client's strengths and weaknesses.

I am a member of the Israel Bar Association since 2008.
