Rocco Chierichella
Rocco Chierichella hails from Greenpoint, Brooklyn and was raised in the Poconos of Northeastern Pennsylvania. An active competitor of State and National drama competitions, Rocco completed the Pennsylvania's Governor's School of the Arts for Acting at Mercyhurst College before graduating high school. After high school Rocco attended Marymount Manhattan College in New York City where he received his B.A. in Theatre Performance. He was awarded the University Prize in Acting his senior year.
Rocco has become a regular for Original Content at the popular comedy website, Collegehumor.com, leading to feature rolls on the correlated MTV spinoff, The College Humor Show. He also has made waves on the new online tv pilot sitcom series Something About Ryan where he plays the title character's comedic sidekick, Anthony.
Along with acting, Rocco has recently moved into writing and producing. In 2007, Rocco and his brother Marco won for "Best Romance Short" at the L.A. Independent Film Festival for a film he wrote, produced, and starred in. Rocco and Marco have gone on to create their own independent production company, Watson&Rooney; Productions. Rocco has since completed numerous short films and one full length feature; a Western called The Bastard Men of Root Flats for which he starred, wrote, and produced. He now continues to act in New York City and runs Watson&Rooney; Productions with his brother in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
