Our Indiegogo has launched! We are trying to raise funds to open a brick-and-mortar and online fabric, yarn, and craft supply shop. We need all the help we can get so please take a moment to visit our campaign, which runs until November 14th 2015. Please visit us at http://igg.me/at/thebalcksquirrel.

Chase Lometa Clark lives in Berkeley, CA. She loves to do papercrafts, sew, knit, crochet, paint, draw, collage, cook, bake, garden, take photographs, dance, play ukulele, yoyo, and collect antiques.

Currently she works part-time at Location Labs, a mobile app company, while working on opening a retail fabric, yarn, and craft supply shop. She often freelances for companies in the bay area, helping awesome people produce beautiful handmade goods, as well as custom sewing, crafting, organizing, and photography for individuals.

He is best known for her long-running handmade company Oh the Cuteness. The Oh the Cuteness blog was founded in July of 2005, with the Etsy shop established in November of 2006, and as a company is dedicated to using vintage and recycled materials wherever possible. It is also a no-waste sewing studio wherein every scrap is saved and turned into stuffing.

Many patterns, tutorials, and recipes can be found on her blog at www.ohthecuteness.com, and she has had her patterns published in books, done photography for local companies and authors, and sells her wares at local craft fairs.

"I want to keep doing this as long as people are interested, because it makes me happy and I hope it brings a little joy to other people's lives too. My crafting philosophy is pretty loose, but I firmly believe that we should surround ourselves with things we find beautiful. I love taking useful objects like pincushions, draft snakes, or jelly straining bags and adding color and life to an otherwise dull everyday object. If you need something to be there, why not make it a pleasure to look at too? But I also like really quirky, purely decorative items, and overtly fancy nonsense. I'm a little all over the place when it comes to style, but using vintage materials has been a running theme for me for as long as I have been making things..."
