With a diverse background in economic and community development, innovation, and public service, Ojala is committed to driving positive change. Currently, Ojala serves as a distinguished member of the Town Council in Windsor, where she actively contributes to shaping the community's future. Additionally, she holds a pivotal role as a member of the State of Connecticut's Social Equity Council, advocating for inclusive policies and equitable opportunities for those hardest impacted by the War on Drugs. Ojala also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Forge City Works - an organization that focuses on serving people who have barriers to employment by providing job training in the food and hospitality industry to help them achieve sustainable careers.
In her professional capacity, Ojala is the Head of Design Operations at Travelers, a prominent company in the industry. Prior to joining Travelers, Ojala ran a startup incubator and accelerator in Hartford called reSET and focused on building and scaling local impact-driven businesses. For the past decade, Ojala has been a key figure in cultivating and shaping the innovation and entrepreneurship landscape in the Greater Hartford Area. By leveraging her comprehensive understanding of socio-economic development and human-centered design principles, Ojala has championed initiatives that foster collaboration, diversity, and sustainable growth.
