Okello Wilberforce Odembo is a Ugandan entrepreneur, philanthropist, and business leader born on July 27, 1994. He is the only son of the late Professor Ouma Wilberforce Odembo, who served as the first Commissioner of Chief Internal Auditors of the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) from 1992 to 1998. He is the father of Shillah Odembo his first daughter. And known by his alias "Mr. Chase," Okello has made a name for himself as the Founder and CEO of Odembo Group and Sage Workspace, organizations focused on business development and innovation.
Okello is actively involved in various global and regional initiatives. He serves as a Brand Ambassador for African Innovation Week and is a member of several notable organizations, including the World Economic Forum, Youth Lead, YouLead Africa, Global Citizen Movement, and the International Global Network. He also participated in the World Bank Group Youth Summit in 2021. His work emphasizes empowering young entrepreneurs and fostering personal and career development across Africa.
His achievements include being named the Most Promising Founder of the Year in Uganda (2020–2021) by the Founder of The Year Awards (FOYA), recognition as one of the 50 COVID-19 African Heroes by the African Youth Awards, and nominations for the African Business Heroes 2021 and Commonwealth Youth Awards 2021. Professionally, he has a background as an IT specialist, procurement system analyst, business coach, and finance management expert, with experience working for organizations like USAID Uganda, RTI International, and the National Information Technology Authority-Uganda (NITA-U). Through his ventures and motivational efforts, Okello aims to inspire and unlock the potential of African youth.
Okello Wilberforce Odembo holds a Bachelor's Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management from Kyambogo University, Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE UK), Diploma in Accounting and Finance from Uganda Christian University (Mukono), Diploma in Human Resource Management, Bachelor’s in International Business from Atlantic International University (Undergraduate - Class of 2027), Certificate in; Economics, Civil Rights in the American History, Mathematics, Presidency from Hillsdale College (Southern Michigan), Certificate in; Environmental Social Governance, Foreign Exchange from Corporate Finance Institute.
