FATOBA holds a doctoral degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Department of Chemical, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria, South Africa. He holds B.Eng. degree (Mechanical Engineering) and M.Sc degrees in both Mechanical Engineering & Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. My research work is on Additive Manufacturing, Composite materials, Laser Based Surface Engineering of Steels/Titanium alloys for Enhanced Service Performance as well as process optimization via Artificial Neural Network, Genetic Algorithm, Finite Element Method, Taguchi and Response Surface Models. My research experience has culminated in publications of over 75 articles in peer-reviewed Journals and several oral presentations in both local and international conferences. Fatoba is presently a Senior Research fellow at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Science, University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
