Randy Lee Eickhoff

Randy Lee Eickhoff holds two doctorates and has probably written more books than he should. He is a highly-decorated Vietnam veteran, former teacher, raconteur, Wrangler Award winner, member of the Writers of the Pass Hall of Fame, translated Ireland's Ulster Cycle, Homer's Odyssey, and Beowulf, and written many reviews, articles, short stories, and commentaries. Some of his translations are still being used as textbooks in schools and colleges in the United States and Ireland. He has explored Hueco Tanks where he found the White Scorpion kachina dancer in a hidden cave and made himself a general nuisance in many other places. His favorite places are Maroon Bells in Colorado, the Black Hills of South Dakota, and Glendalough in Ireland. Following his retirement at fifty-four, he moved to Fort Worth, Texas where he lives on a small acreage and spends his time writing, reading, painting poorly, playing the piano badly, and trying to turn his tiny pasture into an arboretum with little success.. He is a semi-recluse and takes great pride in being a cranky old curmudgeon.
