William Alger
I have been a photographer since 1978 after seeing images by Paul Strand, Atget, and Bresson. Coming from a drawing and watercolor bkgrd. I instantly fell in love with photography after seeing these artists work and decided I wanted to make my living at it (if possible). I landed an assistants job with a catalogue house in 78 and worked in product photography until 2005, but never stopped doing my personal work. I have been shooting digitally since 2000 starting with a Nikon 2mp pocket cam and now use a Pentax 14mp k20D for my HDR imagery. At 65 I am as passionate about photography as I was when I was 30.
