Oliver Lesum

Hello, I’m Oliver. I’m a LST (Learner Support Team) teacher, working for the Surrey school district. This is my 3rd year in LST and I am currently working with lots of ELL students; hence the interest in this program.

I graduated from the University of Victoria in 2008 with a B.A. in Geography and a B.Ed. in Education just one year later. During my years at the University, I also completed a Web Design Certificate.

Interesting fun fact: I am a ELL myself -- I grew up in Germany and moved to Canada in 2002!

Outside of teaching, I am a father to three beautiful children. Some hobbies include travelling, learning about technology, more education, and, of course, soccer.

This is my fourth course in this ELL certificate program and I am looking forward to more LEARNING (again)!

Oliver
