Visiting scholar at Northeastern University, Bouve College of Health Sciences, School of Nursing during sabbatical leave November 2011 - January 2012. Associate professor at the University of South Africa (UNISA). Visiting Research Professor at North West University, South Africa during first phase of sabbatical leave March 2011 - August 2011. Founded the Advocacy & Resource Center for Students with Disabilities at UNISA. Initiated the HIV & AIDS Center at UNISA now called Campus Clinic both Centers have since been institutionalized by UNISA. Authored HIV & AIDS Dictionary; first Braille version & regular print. Supervised master's & doctoral students from Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Swaziland & South Africa successfully through UNISA. First Vice-President of DENOSA for professional matters. Seconded as Dean of Students at UNISA 2002-2005. Served in the UNISA Interim Management Board, Executive and Extended Management of UNISA. Convened international conferences on Governance of Gender Health funded by Foundation for Human Rights as well as conference on Critical Themes Related to the Patients Rights' Charter. Harvard University conferred master's & doctoral degrees in 1986 & 1993. Served on the International Scientific Advisory Committee for the International Council of Nurses' 24th Quadrennial Congress that was held in South Africa in 2009. Delivered research reports at international conferences in Zambia, Ghana, Botswana, Lesotho, Japan, Berlin, Edinburgh, Glascow & South Africa. Reviews for the National Research Foundation and Curationis journal.
