Olga Mink

Olga Mink is a Dutch curator, artist and producer/manager with a background in fine art and animation design. Mink studied at the HKU and obtained her BA Fine art at the Art Academy in Tilburg. She holds a Master Fine Arts from the Sandberg Institute, Amsterdam. Currently she is the artistic director of Baltan Laboratories, in Eindhoven (NL).
Taking an early interest in digital technology, Mink majored in digital art and was one of the inaugural drivers in the early age of digital video and live cinema. Known for her expertise in contemporary digital esthetics, she presented multiscreen performances, installations and led workshops in live cinema and creative practice in digital technology.
Mink exhibited, performed and lectured across Europe, North America and Japan. Following a decade of practice as an media artist, her current focus is curating and cultural management. Mink curated exhibitions and live events for film- and mediafestivals in the Netherlands, amongst them Glow Next, Plaza plus, Imageradio in Eindhoven, Re:visie (NFF) Utrecht, State of the Image Arnhem.
Leading a cultural organisation since 2012, Mink initiates projects to enrich the dynamic cultural field of Eindhoven and beyond, bringing together innovative ideas and interdisciplinary knowledge. Her aim is to explore uncharted terrain for further researching the intersections of art, science and technology.
Mink's work and philosophy evolves around the perception and wonder as core elements to enhance social dynamics. Her vision is that art and science are related and can create a multitude of possibilities for new innovative ideas.
